Deborah’s New Bathroom

At 68 years old, Deborah has built a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet generosity. For 45 years, she and her husband created a loving home in Milwaukee, raising three daughters and now delighting in two granddaughters.

When asked to describe her life, she simply says, “Good.” It’s a humble word for a life filled with devotion, resilience, and service to others.

Her Christian faith has always been the foundation beneath her feet. It carried her through one of her greatest challenges walking alongside her husband through serious health struggles. Through those difficult seasons, Deborah learned what she now shares as advice with others: be adaptable and be humble. Life changes, circumstances shift, but faith and character sustain you.

Over time, however, the home that held so many memories began to show signs of strain.

The kitchen sink wouldn’t drain properly and needed to be snaked. The front storm door was broken, and the main front door hardware had no key leaving her without the security every homeowner deserves. In the bathroom, aging plumbing required a new sink, vanity, faucet, water lines, and valves. The toilet needed to be replaced with an ADA-height model to better support comfort and safety. Electrical outlets were outdated. Even more concerning, the tub wall had deteriorated, allowing water to leak into the basement below.

These weren’t cosmetic issues. They affected Deborah’s daily comfort, safety, and peace of mind.

When the repairs began, each fix made a meaningful difference. The plumbing updates restored reliable water flow and eliminated leaks that could have caused serious structural damage. The ADA-height toilet and updated fixtures made the bathroom safer and easier to use. Secured doors meant Deborah could once again feel confident that her home was protected. Fixing the tub wall stopped the water intrusion, preserving the foundation of the house that has sheltered her family for decades.
