What is the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP)?

The Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) helps low-income homeowners age 62 and older remain safely and independently in their homes through low-cost, high-impact home modifications. The program is designed to reduce fall risk, improve accessibility and safety, and support participation in daily activities within the home environment. Our mission is to promote successful aging in place by enhancing functional independence, mobility, and quality of life—helping older adults remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes rather than transitioning prematurely to assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

This service is provided at NO CHARGE for homeowners age 62 and older whose income is at or below 80% of the area median income.
