Ms. Jacqueline has spent 90 years building a life rooted in resilience, hard work, and family. A lifelong resident of Milwaukee, her story is one of quiet strength shaped by both joy and hardship.

She worked for 31 years at the same retail store, showing up day after day with commitment and pride. And there were challenges. She faced barriers that required perseverance and courage to overcome. She also endured the heartbreak of losing two of her children- losses that no parent should have to bear. Yet through it all, her family remained her greatest source of pride and strength.
Now, Ms. Jacqueline continues to live independently in the home she has long cherished.

Through their work, Ms. Landry’s home was made safer and more accessible. New front porch handrails now provide stability and confidence as she enters and exits her home. A tub cutout has transformed her bathroom into a safer space, reducing the risk of falls and helping her maintain her independence.
These improvements may seem simple, but for Ms. Landry, they are life-changing. They allow her to continue living comfortably in the home filled with decades of memories.
When asked about the impact of Revitalize Milwaukee’s work in her neighborhood, her response is direct: “Job well done.”
Even now, Ms. Jacqueline continues to share wisdom shaped by her life experience. Her advice to others reflects the values she has lived by: “Don’t wait until someone help you to help others.”
