Gladys & Miguel
For more than 20 years, Gladys and Miguel have called their house a home.
It’s where they raised their family, put down roots, and, now in retirement, spend their days savoring the simple joys they’ve earned—tending to the garden, watching the seasons change, and enjoying the comfort of a place they’ve lovingly cared for over decades.
In September 2025, lead abatement work was completed on their home. While the project itself was modest in size, its impact was anything but. The improvements brought meaningful health benefits and a renewed sense of safety, allowing them to fully enjoy their home with greater peace of mind. During the work, contractors needed access to the exterior windows right where Gladys’s cherished plants grow. Understanding how much her garden meant to her, the crew took extra care, constructing a protective platform to ensure not a single plant was harmed.
That small but thoughtful act made a lasting impression. For Gladys, her garden is more than a hobby, it’s part of her daily rhythm and one of the great pleasures of her retirement. The care shown during the project made her feel respected, listened to, and valued. What began as a routine home improvement became something more: a project that protected not only their health, but also the life and love they’ve built within their home.
